Frequently Asked Questions

Should I use the solicitor or conveyancer recommended by the agent?

You should seek recommendations from friends and others and shop around before taking the first recommendation from the agent. John will act in your best interests at all times.

Do I need to have someone look at my contract before signing?

You do not have to have anyone look at your contract before signing. However, you should seek out legal advice beforehand. While most contracts are fairly standard, there could be some caveats that are hidden with the intent of deception. Rather than take the chance, have a skilled professional look the contract terms over. If changes are necessary, they’ll give you advice that can protect you from future incidents.

Can a will be non-contestable?

Any document is contestable. However, a properly written document that has supporting proof is much harder to contest successfully. That’s why you need to make sure you have a will written before extenuating circumstances occur. Plus, the will must follow all applicable laws so that no one can challenge it later.
